Thirty homemade quilts are on display at the Timmins Museum until November 23rd, as the Timmins Quilters Guild presents its show called “Quilty Pleasures”.
Assistant curator Kaitlyn Dubeau says it’s a good, fun mix.
“You have some traditional style quilts, you’ve got some neat, kind of modern geometric style ones and then there’s quite a fun selection of different and quirky and funny quilts,” she says.
“They’re mostly machine done, using a sewing machine,” Dubeau adds, “but there is a handmade one in the show which is quite beautiful.”
That one is of a rose.
Dubeau says the show is on until November 23rd and, as always, there’s no admission fee to the museum.
