Quick and simple is how people are being encouraged to stay healthy.
March is Nutrition Month and and the theme is “Simply Cook and Enjoy.” The idea is to enforce easy meals that everyone can make that aren’t time consuming but taste delicious.
There is a growing concern over the lack of home cooking and loss of cooking skills. Kaitlyn Comeau, Public Health Dietitian at the Porcupine Health Unit, says the whole family including children should be involved in meal preparation.
Local dietitians will be holding a public event at the Porcupine Health Unit at the end of March.
