Conservative party on track to choose a candidate, says association President

Timmins-James Bay should be hearing who the conservative candidate is within a week. The Association President for the riding, Steve Kidd, says they are right on track with their process, and aren’t of the view that they are late with the announcement. Kidd says there are still around 140 candidates unnamed across the country, and the Conservatives don’t think they are behind schedule.

Kidd says the party is making strides this year, and could unseat Angus. He says they made progress in the last election, with their vote going up, and have the ability to win this time around.

Charlie Angus will be running again for the NDP, and Todd Lever is running for the Liberals. The election is set for October 19th.
