After a great summer of all-terrain vehicle riding on the Timmins ATV Club’s trail network, there’s work to be done on the trails.
Club treasurer Marc Lapalme says it needs volunteer help for trail brushing – that’s cutting back trees that protrude onto the trail – and other work.
The club will also accept donations in kind from local businesses, like mechanical equipment to help with the work.
“Or even just gas,” Lapalme notes, “where we can purchase gas for the volunteers to use in their vehicles and in their ATVs, chainsaws, etc.”
Lapalme says the club already has a lot of volunteers working on maintaining existing trails and developing new ones.
“We don’t want to work them too hard to the bone, of course, and we look forward to seeing whoever can help us out and see more people ride our trails.”
