We ‘bear’ good news: We stuffed an ambulance for the Teddy Bear Project

UPDATE AT 5:30pm Sunday: The final total is an amazing 1,048 stuffies and $111.00 cash.

When it comes to compassion, attendees at the Timmins Fall Fair this weekend earned a big hug.

Country 93.1, the Rotary Club of Timmins Porcupine and paramedics from Cochrane District EMS set out to stuff an ambulance with plush toys for the Teddy Bear Project.

The donated stuffies will ride along in ambulances and police cruisers, to be distributed to kids in stressful situations they both respond to.

On Saturday, alone, 406 new and gently loved animals were donated.  We’ll have Sunday’s figure and the weekend’s grand total, later here on My Timmins Now Dot Com.

Just some of the stuffed toys donated to the Teddy Bear Project.
