‘Mom Walks’ brings Moms together for informal group walks with their babies

When Amanda Rendulic became a new Mom last year – to triplets – she started looking for an informal grouping of Moms and kids to go for walks.  So she started a private Facebook group called “Timmins Mom Walks”.

It’s a private group, so Rendulic will screen prospective members.  Once you’re in, you can post whenever you’re planning an activity.

“Anyone is open to post whenever they’re going for a walk or want to meet up with somebody,” Rendulic outlines. “And whoever shows up, shows up and then we have a little bit of play time afterwards, if the weather permits and everyone’s babies are cooperating.”

The activities have mostly been at Gillies Lake.  But Rendulic says they can be anywhere in Timmins.  She lives in Porcupine, and is open to walks along the college trails.

“Our biggest group so far I think was six or seven Moms and sometimes there’s grandparents that show up with their grandkids, too.,” Rendulic says. “Kids on bikes, kids running back and forth.”
