Progress continues on the Canada Nickel Company’s Crawford Project located on Highway 655 near Timmins. That’s the word from Communications Coordinator Alexandra Armstrong who notes that the company is focusing on the feasibility study that should be completed by the end of the year. She adds that Canada Nickel has also sent project to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada.

“To initiate the federal impact assessment process,” she said. “We submitted that sometime last week and we are just waiting for the agency to complete their last review and that document will be available to the public. We will have officially started our permitting process for the Crawford project.”

Armstrong says the company is working through a new permitting process with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada.

“We have our sights set on three years to get that finalized but we have a really good communications channel with the impact assessment agency right now and things are looking good for our permitting schedule,” she said.

Construction at the Canada Nickel Crawford Project should begin in 2025 with production to follow in two years.
