Algonquin repairs on the way

Repairs on the Connecting Link will be happening , but not until a certain type of asphalt is ready. A lot of people are wondering why the work on Algonquin hasn’t been done, but other roads in Timmins are being shut down and getting repaired. Mayor Steve Black says only $1-million of a $7-million dollar budget is used for Algonquin, at least until a reconstruction feasibility study is done. But, that will take time and won’t happen for the next few years.

Black says work on Algonquin will start happening as soon as that higher grade of asphalt is available this summer. He says there are a few patches of road that are ready to be paved, and work will begin once the pavement is ready to go.
