Downtown Timmins is coming alive for another summer. Wednesday is the first Urban Park on Third Ave., and on Thursday it’s the Urban Farmers Market.
BIA executive director Cindy Campbell says there are over a dozen vendors lined up, and they’re all local.
“Fresh vegetables, wonderful meats and our new vendors are also there with some of their craft ideas,” she says, regardless of weather. “Oh, we’re a rain or shine farmers market. We’re hardy. If the farmers have to work when it’s raining outside, we have to sell it when it’s raining outside.”
The market is on Third Ave. between Pine St. and Balsam St. every Thursday from 11:00am to 2:00pm until the end of September.
