Having Welcome to Timmins Night outdoors worked so well last year, the 29th annual edition will again be on Third Ave.
It’s set for Wednesday, August 17th – or the next night if it rains.
Ifeoma Kasimanwuna of the Timmins Local Immigration Partnership is lead organizer. She says there’s no cap on the number of non-profit groups that can participate, letting newcomers and existing locals know what services and activities are available.
“We are just inviting as many as can come,” she notes. “Last year we had way over 50, so we’re looking to have more to expand this year’s event.”
Registration for those groups is now open, says Kasimanwuna.
“They just have to fill registration forms. They should know that our tents are available as a first come, first served basis. The earlier you come, then you have access to a tent.”
