The Timmins Women’s Soccer Club is in revival mod, after not playing the past two years because of the pandemic.
Spokesperson Shelby Deacon says there are five teams to start, down from sis, but more could be added if there’s enough interest.
“A lot of the ladies on the teams are no longer playing or have moved out of town,” she notes. “and there’s a lot of new people in Timmins who would, I assume, like to play and just don’t know about it.”
“So we generally try to take kind of bigger roster sizes. That way, if people have other commitments – they have kids, they have cottage, they have, I don’t know, life – we can still play and people can come whenever they can.”
Information and registration are on the club’s Facebook page.
