Smash and grab sunglass thief sought

A man who used the smash-and-grab method to steal some sunglasses on Third Ave. is the object of a Timmins Police investigation.

Communications coordinator Marc Depatie says the entire act – just after six o’clock the morning of April 5th at “a medical professional’s place of business”– was caught on security camera.

“A person dressed in dark clothing gained entry by force, using a black metal bar it appears and he stole five pairs of Oakley sunglasses,” says Depatie.

“Now we’re looking for the public to perhaps recognize this person, or perhaps they’ve been approached to buy some discount Oakley sunglasses.”
