It’s time to pack the Mac.
Timmins Rock board member Jason Kelly says the first round of the NOJHL playoffs is set to start Thursday night.
“We are playing French River in the first round in a best of seven series,” he reports.
The Rapids beat Kirkland Lake in two games straight to take fourth place in what is called the play-in round.
Kelly experts them to put up good opposition. “French River always played us hard this year, so it should be an interesting series, a good series.”
The second game goes Friday night at the McIntyre Arena, before the series moves to Noelville for games three and four, Sunday and Monday. All those games begin at 7:00pm.
