UPDATE: Airport Rd. reopened at about 2:00pm.
As of noon hour, Airport Rd. is closed between Theriault Blvd and Lamminen Ave. for an accident investigation.
Timmins Police say there were six injuries in the collision at about 8:30am, including one who had to be freed from the wreckage by firefighters using the jaws of life. They were in a pick-up truck and a passenger vehicle. The degree of injury ranges from what police call minor to serious. Three were brought to hospital by paramedics.
As the investigation progresses, police are looking for witnesses.
