New look for nine-year-old promotion

The shop local program that’s been around in Timmins since 2013 is getting an update.

The changes to “Find It In Timmins” are mostly esthetic.  Chamber of Commerce president Rob Knox says it needed polishing. The new logo can be seen on My Timmins Now Dot Com.

Knox says we do shop locally for the most part, and there’s nothing wrong with having an Amazon account.

“The initiative is to ensure that if something is available in the city, we can promote it,” he states.”

The new logo has four iterations.

“One in English, one in French with the help of our friends at Université de Hearst,” says Knox, “Mushkegowuk Cree with translation by Angela Shisheesh of the Ojibway and Cree Cultural Centre and Hindi with thanks to our good friend Sumit Swami at Northern College.”
