An accident yesterday at the Taylor Mine, near Val Gagné, involves a missing worker.
The provincial labour ministry says the employer is Major Drilling… and ministry inspectors have been dispatched to join the investigation. It says the incident is “in a remote area” of the mine.
It does not specify whether the worker has been found.
Police, paramedics, mine rescuers and two fire departments were called to the mine at about 5:30 yesterday (Tues.) afternoon.
