If you’re going to the airport you’re going to need an alternate route until next weekend. Airport Road is closed until next weekend from Lamminen Street to River Park Road. Public Works is shutting it down to do some work on the $80-million Mattagami Waste Water Treatment project.
They are tying project into already existing underground utilities. You can get by with Suzanne or Denise Street. The Project Manager for the plant says the project is 90% done, and is on track to be fully operational by September. The project is around $6-million over budget, but shouldn’t be spiking any higher than that.
The road will reopen on July 24th.
