COVID-19 restrictions in jurisdictions across Canada are costing Timmins this year’s Canadian Under-18 curling championships.
The event was to be held at the McIntyre Curling Club in February. But Curling Canada says because so many provinces and territories are having trouble staging their qualifiers, an alternate site and date later in the year are being sought. There is no more ice availability at the Mac this season.
However, the 2023 edition of the national championship will be in Timmins, next February.
