Moose Factory hospital honours a LHIN board member

A sun room in a Moose Factory hospital has been named after an long time LHIN board member. Randy Kapashesit passed away unexpectedly in 2012, after serving the board since 2006.

He worked to make sure Aboriginal people were part of health care decisions and investments across the Northeast.

The Local Health Integration Network officially named the sun room after him in a ceremony yesterday at the Weeneebayko General Hospital.  The sunroom will provide a place for patients and their families to congregate and visit while enjoying the warmth of the sun in the room’s many windows.
