City solicits your input towards a plan to respond to climate change locally

You could say that what’s been happening outside your window the past couple weeks is probably a sign of climate change.

And you have your chance to provide input into how the City of Timmins responds to climate change.

Environmental coordinator Christina Beaton says that as it formulates a community action plan, there’s  a survey on the city website. It  asks what you think of four climatic threats and impacts.

“What can we do to reduce our vulnerability to climate change and what can we do to become a more resilient community?,” she says is the jist of the questions. “This information is going to be critical for us to identify what actions need to be included in our climate change adaptation plan.”

The survey is on www.timmins.ca until January 3rd.
