Send in some input to help with Northern healthcare

The Ontario government is making a move to help with Northern health care. They are going to name a Patient Ombudsman to look into health care problems. Health Minister Doctor Eric Hoskins says he’s hoping to hear a lot of input from the North.

“Quite literally in everything we do, we’re making sure that it’s relevant to those that live in the North,” says Hoskins. “Also to engage them in the decision making, whether that’s at the policy level more broadly, or whether it’s specific at the community or hospital level.”

The job will look into complaints from former and current patients, as well as health care providers, and long term care. They will make recommendations to try and put patients first.

The Ministry wants to know what aspects are important to the North for that person to have. Go online to Patient Voices to give your feedback.
