News Angus celebrates Timmins growth SHARE ON: Paige Parker, contributor, Friday, Feb. 21st, 2014 Timmins is seeing continual support from the federal government. Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus says you just need to look at the funding over the past year towards projects like broadband, stratospheric balloon base, and NEONET among others. The Timmins region got $214 million in federal grants in the last two years. On top of that FEDNOR has been a bit supporter. With the $5 million from FEDNOR, just last year, going directly into Timmins-James Bay to fund project such as updating the Hollinger Park Angus is confident in the city’s growth. He says he is impressed that investments are being spread across the region but is pleased that Timmins-James Bay is at the top of the list.
