Pope Francis Elementary School moves into COVID-19 outbreak designation

A second confirmed case of COVID-19 at Pope Francis Elementary School puts it past the threshold for the Porcupine Health Unit to declare an outbreak there.

In an email to families, the north end Timmins school says the two cases are related.  The school remains open, but one classroom has been dismissed.

It says members of that class will remain in isolation until next Monday, November 29th. If there are no further cases, the outbreak will be declared over two days after that, on Wednesday, December 1st.
