Downtown Timmins holiday pop-up shop opens for the season tomorrow

The Downtown Timmins BIA is back with its annual holiday pop-up shop starting tomorrow, and every Saturday until December 18th. This year, it’s in the former Tweed and Hickory store – Bucovetsky’s, if you’re of that vintage. Executive director Cindy Campbell says it’ll be bigger than ever.

“We’re going to be able to accommodate 30 vendors,” says Campbell adding that all all the farmers from the summer market are back, joined by independent crafters.

She says it makes it easy to shop local and support small business.

“These are the people that are looking, if they’re successful, if people like their products, these are the people that will be opening retail spaces in Timmins. So it’s so important that we come out and support them.”

Campbell notes that there are many one-of-a-kind things, and there will be some vendor and product turnover from week to week.

“If you miss a Saturday, you miss what could be unique that week. So we encourage everybody to come every Saturday from 10 to 3.”
