That incident at an apartment on Mountjoy St. S. Wednesday afternoon is a homicide. That’s confirmed by Timmins Police communications coordinator Marc Depatie.
“A male party sustained life-threatening injuries during the occurrence and was transported to the Timmins and District Hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced as deceased,” he reports
The obvious question is “Who did it?”.
“We are currently trying to determine the exact nature of the occurrence and who is responsible,” Depatie replies. “We strongly suspect foul play.”
The victim’s name won’t be released until his family is notified.
