A story walk with a local author reading her latest children’s book is set for two sessions tomorrow at Hersey Lake.
Gabriella Desmarais-Brunet is program manager for the local EarlyOn Child and Family Centres. She says it’s on Tamarack Trail, with Susan Reimer reading from story boards depicting her book “Letters in the Woods” at 10:00am and again at 11:00am.
“The boards will be placed throughout the Tamarack Trail,” Desmarais-Brunet explains. “It’s about I believe just under a two-kilometre walk.”
The walk is for kids up to six years old.
“Strollers are fine to bring through the Tamarack Trail, or if families have carriers as well,” says Desmarais-Brunet. It’s quite a simple enough trail. That’s why we chose this one for children.”
