News A new kind of farm SHARE ON: Paige Parker, contributor, Thursday, Feb. 20th, 2014 An educational farm in Timmins is in the works. The project, funded by TEBA, will teach the community how to farm. Humphrey wants to show people that farming is a viable career and that’s the point of this endeavour. Fundraising Coordinator, Brianna Humphrey, says the food they grow will be donated to the Timmins Food Bank and the Good Samaritan Inn. She hopes to grow enough that she can supply the food bank up until Christmas. The farm will be accessible to anyone including teachers who want to bring class trips. Humphrey hopes to break ground this Spring with the farm becoming fully operational in two years. The funds raised from the Bee Bad Charitable Burlesque Show will go directly to this operation.
