Firefighters in the Matheson area had to cope with a garage – house fire Monday night. A listener of Moose FM tells us the blaze broke out around 9:00 p.m. on Highway 101 just east of Matheson. The person says the heat was so intense from the blaze it could be felt on the highway. The intense heat also shattered the glass in the building. The flames spread to nearby trees and crews had to truck in water from Matheson to fight the fire.
