News Perfect day for Terry Fox Run SHARE ON: Bob McIntyre, staff Sunday, Sep. 19th, 2021 Left to right: Amanda, Talya, Jim and Lily Rumleski took advantage of the story walk feature of the Terry Fox Run provided by the Timmins Public Library, to learn about Terry Fox and who he was. (Bob McIntyre, MyTimminsNow.com staff) Sunday’s weather couldn’t have been more perfect for the annual Terry Fox Run in Timmins. Although the usual barbecue and other activities couldn’t be held, volunteers were at Gillies Lake to informally encourage individuals and families to enjoy the trail around the lake, and to collect donations towards cancer research. Over on our Moose Timmins Facebook page, you can see a couple more photos, including one of the VR code you can use if you still want to donate. UPDATE: Local Terry Fox Run chair Cathy Davis reports already $6,000 counted. She’s hopeful of reaching $10,000 by the time all is said and done.
