A rise in car break ins prompts safety reminder

Make sure your keeping valuables out of your cars, and keep them locked. That advice comes from the Timmins Police on the heels of multiple reports of break in’s.

Police say a lot of the cars that were broken into were locked, and they think the thief has an electronic device to open the locks. There doesn’t seem to be any part of the city that is being targeted, but it’s mainly happening in the North and South ends.

If you have any information, or see anything suspicious, call the Timmins Police at 705-264-1201.
