There are definite signs around town that Timmins is coming back from pandemic lockdowns, and there’s a celebration of that planned for Saturday afternoon.
The BIA is working with some of its members for the “Back to Life Street Fest” from noon until six. Executive director Cindy Campbell notes that it’s not in the usual location. It’s on Third Ave. between Maple and Birch Sts.
“One of the businesses down at that end of the street said ‘Hey, let’s do something’ and of course we’ll support all of our members in what they want to do, so they’re helping organize the whole event,” Campbell states.
Six different musical acts will be performing.
“They also have the Warriors Kanata Motorcycle Club going to be there and the Timmins Tuners car club are going to be there,” says Campbell. “So all the gerat vintage vehicles and great rides for people to see.”
Campbell says bring a lawn chair and a bottle of water and take in the entertainment.
