News Students showing support for a classmate SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Friday, Jun. 19th, 2015 Students at W. Earle Miller Public School wore green and white today to support a classmate. The “Just for Jade” fundraiser is supporting student Jade C. who has been diagnosed with Leukemia. The school is showed their support for Jade and her family with an Activity Day. They are trying to help offset travel and accommodation costs during her treatment. During the day, the school sold green ribbons, food, airbrush tattoos, and had jars around the school to collect cash donations. They also had a pie throwing station for students or parents to chuck the desserts at teachers. The event aims to help Jade and her family during her treatment, and bring the school together to help support a good cause. Jade is currently in the hospital.
