Grandparents will be reminded of “Reach for the Top” when Timmins teenagers compete in a quiz show produced right here later in the month.
Producers are working with Timmins Economic Development Corporation community economic development director Noella Rinaldo on “Pop Whiz”.
It will feature kids aged 13 to 17 in a trivia competition for prizes. Rinaldo says there will be a feature on each of the contestants, and on the city.
“They’ll be doing a feature on Timmins, sot they’ll have a good ten minutes on Timmins itself, on the community,” Rinaldo outlines.
The show will be recorded at Gillies Lake, likely from July 14th to 17th and air later on Game TV.
“They had originally thought they would tie in with some kind of event, says Rinaldo. “But then Covid happened, so they said ‘what’s your highest traffic?’, so that’s why we went with Gillies Lake.”
