Stage 1 of reopening and reducing COVID-19 restrictions means reopening Timmins City Hall to the public.
Clerk Steph Palmateer says that takes effect at 8:30am Friday, with a maximum of three customers at a time at the Service Timmins, provincial offences and parking ticket, and planning and building desks.
“We won’t be allowing any queuing inside City Hall,” he notes, “so if you’re waiting to see Service Timmins, we’ll only be letting one person in at a time, so there may be some line-ups.”
Palmateer says bylaw enforcement officers will continue to be vigilant and diligent.
“We will be continuing to inspect the businesses that are open and making sure that they’re complying with capacity limits established for this stage as well: 25% for essential busineses and 15% for other businesses.”
