Both City Hall and the Timmins Chamber of Commerce are hopeful of a reopening of sorts come this Friday.
In a joint release, both organizations say that the Porcupine Health Unit recently indicated that businesses could begin to reopen. Confirmation and details are expected from the health unit in the next couple of days.
The chamber and the city note that since March 2020, retail, hospitality and service businesses in Timmins have been closed for a total of 240 days.
