The Porcupine Music Festival didn’t let a pandemic cancel its annual competition for a second year in a row. Publicity director Melissa Lalonde says it went online for what the committee calls an E-festival.
“Students and their teachers submitted the participant videos and these videos were then submitted to our adjudicator,” she tells My Timmins Now Dot Com.
There were four adjudicators: one each for piano, strings, instrumental and voice.
The closing concert is also online, this coming Sunday at 7:00pm.
Festival publicity director Melissa Lalonde says you can expect to see something similar to an in-person final concert.
