A speed reduction on part of Airport Rd. is being put into place, because of the connecting link construction project on Algonquin Blvd.
Heavy truck traffic has been shifted away from Algonquin to Lafleur Dr., Airport and Laforest Rd. That’s been making it difficult for property owners to get out of their Airport Road driveways. So the city is reducing the speed limit to 50 km/hr, from Laforest Rd. southward for just over a kilometre.
The reduction is only in place until the Algonquin project is done.
