Papakomeka Road, south of Timmins, is in such bad shape this spring, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has issued an alert
Outreach specialist Karen Passmore says there are a number of hazards along the first 4 km of the road.
“Several sections of the road are in very poor condition, including really muddy and rutted sections, which could pose a risk to vehicles,” she reports. “We’re recommending that drivers use Price Rd. as an alternative route.”
“There’s also a section of rough road at Kilometre 29 that drivers should avoid or if they’re going to drive it, drive exceptionally slowly.”
The ministry will repair the road as son as possible, but Passmore says it has to be dry for that.
