A series of arsons and online death threats are being investigated in Kapuskasing. The James Bay OPP has made an arrest in the case, implicating a 20 year old man from Kap. He is being charged with six offences. Among them is arson with disregard for human life, and extortion.
Six different police and fire groups worked together on the investigation, including the OPP Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau, and the Technological Crime Unit.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, and the investigation is ongoing.
