The rail haulage accident happened on Saturday underground, which fatally injured Alexie Dallaire-Vincent. The OPP, Ministry of Labour, and St. Andrews Goldfield will be investigating the accident. “We are deeply saddened by this news and our sincere condolences go out to the family, fellow workers, and friends”, says Duncan Middlemiss, President & CEO of SAS. “SAS is co-operating with the ongoing investigation, as well as providing support to family and employees at the mine site.
