News New COVID-19 cases include one at Extendicare Timmins LTC facility SHARE ON: Bob McIntyre, staff Wednesday, Mar. 31st, 2021 (flickr.com) UPDATE AT 7:30pm: Five more cases confirmed in Timmins, all from contact with another case, all now in isolation. Brings total to 361. Four new cases of COVID-19 are being reported by the Porcupine Health Unit… including one at Extendicare Timmins. Because it’s a long-term care facility, that constitutes an outbreak. PHU doesn’t specify whether it’s in a resident or a staff member. Two other cases are in Timmins and one in the area between Fauquier (FOH-kee-ay) and Opasatika (OH-puh-SAT-ih-kuh). The people behind cases 353 to 356 are all in isolation.
