There’s a kind of honour system in effect for booking COVID-19 vaccinations. Porcupine Health Unit medical officer of health Dr. Lianne Catton says, for instance, you don’t need to provide documented proof that you are Indigenous, Métis or Inuit.
“We really are expecting and trusting all of our community members to act in good faith, to present to the clinics that they are eligible for,” she remarks.
“We are asking individuals who identify as First Nation, Métis or Inuit to go ahead and book clinics if they’re 18 years of age or older.”
You can also bring family members under 18, if they live in the same house with you.
