Spring begins early Saturday morning. In downtown Timmins this year, with the weather forecast for sunshine and a great temperature, it means the first session for the Urban Park.
BIA executive director Cindy Campbell says being outdoors also allows more space for physical distancing. “It’s been a long time since people have been out,” she notes. “It’s going to be a beautiful day, +10, so let’s just enjoy ourselves.”
Campbell says the weather forecast is conducive to an outdoor market, too.
“We’ve got a few of our farmers from the farmers market in the summer. They’ll have their fresh goods and we’ll also have some emergency vehicles, lights going, sirens going, so the kids can have an opportunity to take their pictures.”
Third Ave. between Pine and Cedar Sts. will be closed all day.
Beaver Tails will be on sale Friday and Saturday from 11:00am until 7:00pm; and Sunday 11:00am to 3:00pm.
