More illicit drugs and weapons have been taken off the street by Timmins Police.
It all began last night, when a patrol officer noticed a vehicle being driven suspiciously on Second Avenue. It continued onto Elm Street and hit a snowbank.
The officer arrested the driver for impaired driving and on an outstanding warrant.
Here is the list of drugs, weapons and other items seized, and the charges against the man:
– 261 Methamphetamine tablets
– 6 Pregabalin pills
– 48 PMS-2 Hydromorphone pills
– 30 Morphine pills
– 45 Xanax pills
– 40.3 grams of unknown white powder – narcotic origin being determined
– 4.1 grams of crack Cocaine
– 13.5 grams of crystal Methamphetamine
– 7.1 grams of Cocaine
– 107 grams of Cannabis
– 23.8 grams of Purple Fentanyl
– 4 digital scales
– a set of brass knuckles with folding knife
– a .177 pellet gun – a folding knife
– set of wooden brass knuckles
– a conductive energy weapon
– an undetermined amount of Canadian currency
As a result of the incident, the local man has has been charged with:
– Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 12 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
– 2 counts of Occupant of Motor Vehicle
– Knowing a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon is Present contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– 5 counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Over 30 grams of Dried Cannabis contrary to the Cannabis Act
– 8 counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
