Kid Sport getting underprivileged kids involved in sports

Kid Sport is a non-profit that helps under privileged kids from low income families play sports. 130 kids are helped each year in Timmins, with over $50, 000. This summer, the organization is hosting a Sports Day.

Sports organizations will set up booths at the sports plex. President of the Kid Sports Board, Colleen Landers, says this is the first time this is happening in Timmins.

“We’re hoping that children can get to try sports, that they may not even realize are being offered in Timmins,” says Landers. “Their parents can apply for Kid Sport if they are within our income bracket.”

Sports Day is happening on July 25th, with a BBQ and information.
