The SIU is investigating a car crash that killed a teenager. It happened on Monday night, when the car was speeding and hit a pick up truck.
The 18 year old male driver and the female passenger were both taken to the hospital. The driver was arrested at the scene of the collision, although for what charges isn’t being released. He was then sent to hospital, and died as a result of his injuries.
Police aren’t releasing what caused the injuries, but a weapon is suspected. Police say the female passenger is in serious but stable condition, and the driver of the pickup wasn’t hurt.
