A website is helping Northerners find health care services. The Northeast Health Line is hosted by the Local Health Integration Network. Senior Project Manager for eHealth, Laura Boston says it gives information on health services, news, and events across the North East.
“It provides a single point of access to help Northerners find health services in their own communities, anywhere across the region,” says Boston.
Boston says a service like this is in demand.
“Our engagements with Northerners clearly show that people want a better understanding of what healthcare services are available to them, and where to go to access them.”
More than 2500 profiles of healthcare service provides and programs are online. That includes mental health and addiction services, long term care, community support services, and primary care.
