Northern mining suppliers get storefront and agent in Nevada

Mining equipment and service suppliers are getting their own storefront to showcase their offerings in the Nevada mining hotbed of Elko.

It’s a project of Ontario’s North Economic Development Corporation. That body – “One DC” for short — is chaired by Christy Marinig, the CEO of the Timmins Economic Development Corporation.

“So we thought this might be a good introduction to some of our local suppliers and they need to work with MineConnect, who was awarded the contract to develop this storefront,” Marinig tells My Timmins Now Dot Com. “Essentially, it’ll allow companies to have a storefront, have a sales agent in Nevada and be able to sell their goods and services through the export market in Elko, Nevada.”

The Elko region is big into gold and silver mining. It’s roughly 675 km north of Las Vegas.
