(Google Street View) The lot where a favourite South Porcupine watering hole once stood is up for sale. City Hall is selling 84 Bruce Avenue, the former home of the Central Tavern. Dave St. Onge of the planning division provided details to city council. “The building was demolished in 2020 with the foundation remaining in place,” he outlined. “Due to the size of the lot, the Community Development Committee decided to make it again available through the public tender process. An appraisal was carried out by a certified land appraiser and the value of the land was estimated to be $21,000.”
