Mushkegowuk -James Bay MPP Guy Bourgoin is calling on the province to take over management of the long-term care facility. In a letter to Premier Ford, the New Democrat says extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary measures. He adds that 20 staff members have contracted the virus, including one who’s in critical condition in hospital. There’s also a new case in the Kapuskasing area, for a total of 292 in the region since the pandemic arrived. In addition, PHU has declared an outbreak at RYAM Lumber in Hearst.
